Fund raising project on behalf of the Hapa High (Secondary) School, Jamnagar District, India.

This very old and dilapidated school is based in the Hapa village in the one of the poorest part of the Jamnagar District. More than 600 children received basic education at this school, however when the Gujarat Earthquake struck in January 2001, it was reduced to rubble ,but after seven years of trying only 3 out of the 12 classrooms required have been built. The children study outside on open school ground or in inappropriate rooms made available by the villagers.If the remainder of this High school is not built the children, predominantly girls will be driven into jobs that perpetuate poverty and child labour as well as abuse.
